WINTER TOURNAMENT ROUND-UP

Taylor Ballard, Thomas Cook and Sara Mathews are using this "off season" to continue to work on their stroke production, fitness and also to add strategy during tournament play!  Taylor, finally entered a tournament after a long absence finished runner-up in the consolation draw! Sara lost in the Quarterfinals of the main draw then won 2 more matches in the consolation before the rules wouldn't allow her to play a 5th match of the day!!
Thomas Cook played his first big tournament after being on a 6,000 a day jump rope workout since the christmas holidays. In his quarterfinal match the footwork really paid off as he came back to defeat a stubborn opponent, J. Williams 3-6,6-4,11-9!! He then went on to down the # 3 & 4 southern ranked players in straight sets to win his first Southern Bullfrog Title!! With these tournaments Taylor moved up to 378 in GA, Sara moved up to 224 in GA and Thomas moved up to 3 in GA/3 in the South and 207 nationally!!! Congrats to these players as they continue working hard to move up the ladder!!
