Ralston continues improvement!!
Justin Ralston entered this weekends level 4 at Bitsy Grant TC looking to gain some 18′s points as well as possibly move up some in the 16′s rankings. Justin took advantage of the smaller draw to play solid tournament throughout the weekend and take 3rd place in the 18′s division. The points also go on his 16′s ranking which might move Justin up about 3-5 spots. With a few of the DMTA players eyeing the Ga Junior Qualifier in June there needs to be some significant point gains in the next 2 months. Good luck and continue working hard and the sky is the limit!!
Until Next Time,

Players end Tournament on Better Note!!!!
Justin and Sara began play on Saturday morning but left the day with some questions still not answered! Justin survived his erratic, non-aggressive play at times by edging out his quarter final opponent 10-8 in the super breaker while Sara lost to a slightly more consistent player 4-6,3-6. On Sunday they both warmed up better and got off to a great start but after both pulling out to a 5-1 lead they both let off the pedal and began making errors and Sara lost the second set and Justin edged out his opponent 6-4. Sara then found a solid attacking mode in the super breaker to take it 10-4. Justin then played the finals and got off to a set lead before once again letting off the pedal and making unforced errors. After loosing the second set 4-6 he righted the ship and played a controlled aggressive style in the super breaker and won 10-4!! Congratulations to both of these players as they continue to move toward the top 100 in the state!!!
Until next time,

Play Ain’t Good!!!
Justin Ralston and Sara Mathews entered this weekends Conyers Jr Tournament as the #1 and #2 seeds and looking to gain significant points and thus move up in the rankings again. After Saturdays play, whether win or loose Coach Mathews knows there’s a ton of mental and for sure physical work to be done for the DMTA players to reap the rewards that they are looking for!!! Hopefully both players will play better on Sunday where Justin plays in the semifinals and Sara will play in the 3/4 playoff, but no matter what the outcome the DMTA will have to button down the hatches because there’s a storm coming and the BIGDOG is stirring the pot!!!
Until next time,
Bigdog
Ralston Moves up a Few!!!
Justin Ralston was the lone DMTA player involved in tournament play this weekend. He was in the Level 3 GGC tournament at Ga Gwinnett College. Justin played 3 solid rounds before struggling in the semi final of the consolation. As the learning continues our players have to learn to fight, even on the toughest of days coach Mathews believes!! One of the hardest items players of today must learn is to fight even harder on the matches when very few items are working!!! This item will be taken up and brought to the front of the drawing board the next few weeks at the DMTA!!! Justin will probably move up a few spots from his current ranking of 124ish, but has about 35 or 40 spots to go before the May 15th deadline for the Ga Qualifier!!! Keep working hard players and things will fall your way!!!
Until next time,
BIGDOG
A Few Updates from DMTA
Hopefully RC Dawson is well on his way to shaking a virus and infection so he can get back on the high road!!! Secondly the Playmate ball machine main circuit board has been shipped to the factory for a total over hauling. The company I bought the machine is a first class organization and is feeling good once the board gets back that we’ll have pretty much a brand new machine!!! With all the drills the Bigdog can get the kids and adults into, everyone’s game is sure to lift off!!! Lastly there’s a new column at the top of the page called DMTA STATS… this is where I’ll post statistics from my charting endeavors while watching the DMTA players!!! We can all learn from everyone’s good and bad…SO GET TO IT!!!
Until next time,
BIGDOG
